Under the influence of specific climate and geological factors in the Community of Leskovac, Serbia, many different types of soil were formed. Soil samples analyze shows the high acidity. Soil pollution is caused by the industry, traffic (heavy metals) and intensive use of pesticides in the agriculture. It is established from the results of soil pollution examinations on the Community of Leskovac that the highest concentrations of heavy metals are in the soil near the main roads and the highroad. Also the quantity of used pesticides is decreasing, but it is clear that the use of it uncontrolled and irregular. In view of the above and with an aim of improving the soil quality in the region, the Community of Leskovac proposed a short term (2006-2007) and a long term (2006-2010) management plans.
