The effects of liquid manure application on soil infiltration capacity were studied in field conditions of Kolinany locality in Nitra district. An infiltrometer consisting of two concentric cylinders with the base surface of 400 and 1,600 square cm were used for infiltration measurement. Liquid manure was applied in two forms: digested slurry after the anaerobic digestion process and farmyard manure. Results showed that the application of the digested slurry improves the infiltration capacity of soil. The greatest effect was observed for a ration of 100 t per ha, where infiltration intensity reached a value close to vi,v=5.6 mm per min. In the control (treatment without manure application) this value was less than vi,v=3.5 mm per min. The highest volume of water infiltrated in 20 minutes was found in the treatment with the digested slurry applied at a ration of 100 t per ha (230.6 mm) and the lowest one (86.3 mm) in the control treatment.
