It was the aim of the experiment to determine the influence of soybean proteins in a milk replacer on the morphology of the intestinal tract, the enzyme activity of the mucosa and the immune functions of the latter in suckling kids. In the experiment twelve 19-day-old goatlings were included which were divided into two groups. The first (control) group K received a casein-containing milk replacer three-times daily whereas the second one (group E) was fed a milk replacer that contained 35% of plant proteins (soybean proteins).
