Study on chemiacl composition and nutritive value of sugar cane molasses

One study aiming at evaluating chemical composition and nutritive values of sugar cane molasses sampled from sugar cane factories and farmes'mills in the north, central and south parts of Vietnam and from factories in Queesland, Australia was undertaken. It was found out that: - ME content of Vietnamese molasses was 6.6 - 7.5 MJ/kg CK lower than figures published. Crude protein content of Vietnamese molasses averaged 1.75 - 1.80 percent was very low and similar to that of Australian molasses were similar to those of Australian molasses.(p0.05). However, dry matter, glucose, fructose, total ash Ca, P, potassium, Cu....content of Vietnamese were significantly different from those of Australian molasses.
