Trends in ammonia, organic nitrogen, and carbon contents were analyzed in a long-term non-fertilized bare fallow field experiment established in 1958 in Prague-Ruzyne over the time period 1965-2006. Analyses of correlations of ammonia and total organic nitrogen contents revealed very close link between these values. During the period of 1965 to 2006 the values of ammonia and total organic nitrogen contents showed a statistically significant decrease for all studied variants. Thus results suggest a similar dynamics of ammonia and total organic nitrogen contents in non-fertilized bare fallow. Similarly, analysis revealed a statistically significant negative trend (i.e. decrease) in values of the following ratios: Ntot/Ctot (total organic nitrogen and total organic carbon), Nammo/Ctot (ammonia nitrogen and total organic carbon), and Nammon/ Ntot ratio (ammonia nitrogen and total organic nitrogen). These facts indicate that content of ammonia nitrogen in non-fertilized bare fallows is decreasing faster than content of total organic nitrogen. he results of the following research are shown: correlations of ammonia and total nitrogen contents between different experiments; analysis of trends in ammonia and total organic nitrogen contents; analysis of correlations of time trends in ammonia and total organic nitrogen contents
