Research on indicators of vigour, yield efficiency, specific productivity for the apple varieties Alesya, Albrechtapfel, Antonovka obyknovennaya, Belorusskoe malinovoe, BM 41497, Verbnoe, Zarya Alatau, Zaslavskoe, Slava pobeditelyam and Wealthy on the semi-dwarf rootstocks 54-118 and MM 106 are presented. Data were collected in 1998-2005 at the intensive garden with planting density of 1920 trees per ha. Received accounts and measurements have shown, that the sizes of trees and trunk cross sectional area were differed not only on varieties, but also depend on a rootstock. The height of cultivars of trees grafted on the rootstock MM 106, was above, than on the rootstock 54-118. Data on trunk cross sectional area have shown a difference in force of growth of variety-rootstock combinations. Varieties Zarya Alatau, Zaslavskoe, Verbnoe (86,9-161,9 square cm) were the most strongly full-grown. The most productive in terms of crown volume and trunk cross sectional area were Albrechtapfel, BM 41497 and Zaslavskoye, where specific load has made from 8.5 up to 12.2 kg/m3 and from 1.3 up to 2.0 kg/square m. The first fruits at varieties Albrechtapfel and Zaslavskoe have been received for the second year after planting on both rootstocks, and at variety Alesya - on the rootstock 54-118. Other studied varieties have entered fructification for the third year after planting irrespective of a rootstock
