Studying of new clonal rootstocks in competitive mother garden for the period of research in 2002-2005 has shown that they have distinctions on biometric parameters of growth and development. The growth of layers is characterized by the indices of height, diameter of root neck, branching and output of standard clonal rootstocks per 1 ha. The following rootstocks: 71-3-195 - 195,4 thsd pcs/ha, 67-5 (32) -139,2 thsd pcs/ha, 70-20-21 - 138,7 thsd pcs/ha, 1-48-2 - 130,7 thsd pcs/ha are the best on complex of economic-biological characters and output of standard clonal rootstocks. As a result of the research the rootstocks in dwarf group M26 are characterized by the strongest growth of rootstocks and good rootage of layers, in semi-dwarf group rootstocks 1-48-2, 71-3-195, 70-20-21 were selected by this parameter. In dwarf and semi-dwarf groups rootstocks D 471, 70-20-21, DON 70-382, which diameter has made from 6,0 mm up to 6,8 mm were characterized by thin layers. The estimation of economic-biological properties of eleven clonal rootstocks of dwarf and semi-dwarf apple-tree in competitive mother garden in conditions of the western region of Belarus has shown that rootstocks 1-48-2, 67-5(32), 71-3-195 are transferred on state strain testing like easily propagated and highly productive
