[Further development of agricultural fish breeding in Belarus]

Problems of agricultural fish breeding in the Republic of Belarus are examined. For successful realization of the program of development of agricultural fish culture working out of the corresponding regional programs considering soil-climatic features, production characteristics of reservoirs is required. Thus it is necessary to provide the system approach in realization of the program which should cover problems of a choice and arrangement of reservoirs, manufactures of landing material and cultivation of commodity fish, trade catching, processing and finished goods sale. It is important to provide scientific maintenance of the organization and functioning of agricultural fish-breeding economy, to solve a problem of vocational training of shots. Therefore process of formation of agricultural fish culture includes two basic stages. The first one is organizational, connected with an estimation of possibilities of development of this or that direction of agricultural fish culture in various regions of Belarus, selection of reservoirs, definition of their suitability for the fisheries purposes, a choice of technologies and objects of cultivation, creation of complexes on maintenance of economy with fish-planting material and other resources. The second stage will be characterized by application of intensive methods of managing, cultivation of valuable specialty kinds of fishes, the further expansion of manufacture. An ultimate goal is to stable manufacture of fish products in the volume providing requirements of home market. Thus, fisheries development and use of agricultural reservoirs becomes a necessary and important link of agroindustrial complex
