Issues of structural policy of the state are analyzed. The category of the agrarian structural policy is revealed as the category of complex of measures of state regulation of the economy, more favorable conditions of functioning directed on creation of priority spheres of economic activity. The theoretical analysis of the structural policy with reference to agrarian sphere shows inconsistent character of attitudes to the given concept within the framework of domestic and western research. It is established that the basic criteria for the estimation of rationality of the existing structure and its changes is the greatest conformity to the achievement of the basic social and economic purpose of society development in the tactical and strategic perspectives. Priorities of the structural policy of the state are the fast development of hi-tech sectors of economy, and maximum use of the available potential. Measures of a green basket that base on the structural policy, are ideal means of investment in the know-how sector, modern technologies, management skills and infrastructure, which are so necessary for Belarus agriculture, in order to become competitive
