Research results of investigation of the influence of Luchsitaya variety maize (Zea mays L.) seeds presowing treatment with trace elements (copper, manganese, zinc) an their mixtures as well with the organo-mineral complex of micronutrient fertilizers Gumat+7 on moisture content in maize leaves, water-holding capacity and heat resistance in the unfavourable dry conditions of Astrakhan region of Russian Federation were presented. Investigation results showed that the realized presowing treatment exercised the positive influence on plant water regime, increased the moisture content in leaves in the vegetation period, regulated the day course of transpiration, lowered water deficit and increased moisture retention in tissues. At the same time there was stated the increasing of water content in cells in daytime that promoted the yield increase and plant heat resistance. Combined application of copper, manganese and zinc provided the lowest rate of leaves damage (30%) at the phase of 10-12 leaves and application of Gumat+7 provided crop heat resistance up 65%. At the milky stage after application of micronutrient fertilizers the level of leaves damage was only 45% (after manganese application), 43% (after copper application), 38% (after zinc application), 40% (after Gumat+7 application) and only 23% after combined application of copper, manganese and zinc
