[Investigation of epin influence on yielding capacity and feeding value of maize hybrids]

Research results of field studies of the influence of the following dozes of plant growth regulator (epibrassinopid) epin on yielding capacity and feeding value of maize were presented: 1. 20 ml (5-6 leaves phase) + 40 ml (8-9 leaves phase); 2. 30 ml (5-6 leaves phase) + 50 ml (8-9 leaves phase); 3. 80 ml (5-6 leaves phase); 4. 80 ml (8-9 leaves phase). Epin exercised the stimulating effect on maize crops height. The highest results were obtained in the variants after two-time treatment at the phases of 5-6 (30 ml) and 8-9 leaves (50 ml) and after single treatment with epin at the stage of 8-9 leaves in doze of 80 ml. The highest yield increase was obtained in the 4th variant (69,2 c/ha) and in the 2nd variant. Epin exercised the stimulating effect on weight gain of maize earcorns. Two-time treatment in dozes of 30 and 50 ml and single treatment at the phase of 8-9 leaves with 80 ml showed the highest effect. Earcorns weight was 30,2-30,6 c/ha and their percentage in general yield was 44,3-44,7%. Epin showed positive influence on feeding value of maize. Two-time treatment in high doses made it possible to obtain the highest indices of dry mass content
