Investigation of the influence of mineral and organic fertilizers in yielding capacity and quality of potato (Solanum tuberosum L.) tubers grown on the cultivated sod-podzolic light loamy soil in the conditions of the Republic of Belarus were presented. Soil fertility played the predominant role in the formation of potato yielding capacity and provided 56% of tubers yield; organic fertilizers – 19%; nitrogen fertilizers – 18%; phosphorous and potassium fertilizers – 7%. Comparison analysis of influence of manure, N60P90K160, N90P90K160, N120P90K160, N150P90K160 and HCP05 application on biological value of protein, lysine content in potato tubers was presented. Increasing amounts of nitrogen fertilizers promoted the increasing of protein content from 8,4 up to 12,2%. The highest yield indices (361 c/ha) were obtained in the variant with presowing application of N90P90K160 at the background of underwinter plowing with 60 t/ha of straw cattle manure. In the observed variant starch content was 16% with its maximum yield 57,8 c/ha; nitrates content was 119 mg/kg (maximum permissible amount – 150 mg/kg); protein total content – 10,4%, lysine content was 90% of the recommended by FAO/WHO standards, limiting amino acids – 88,6%, nonreplaceable amino acids – 105,9%. Economic efficiency and profitability of the observed fertilizers was calculated
