For the first time in the conditions of the Republic of Belarus the comparative analysis of accumulation parameters of phenolic compounds in fruits of spread in natural flora of Belarus Chaenomeles maulei (Mast.) C. K. Schneid (accepted as the comparison standard) as well as three Chaenomeles varieties (Elly Massel, Vikolene, Crimson Gold) and three selected in Belarus hybrid forms (№12, №16 and №17) was realized. Evaluation of Chaenomeles perspective forms and varieties for their regional assignment and further selection was made. In course of realized studies there was revealed the essential influence of plant breeding process on accumulation of single phenolic compounds in studied fruits. In the majority of studied samples there was noted the higher (in comparison with the natural forms) content of leucoanthocyans (on 46-124%), cathehins (on 46-336%) and tannins (on 33-150) and the lower content of favonols (on 18-55%) and phenolcarbolic acids (on 23-50%). Research results showed that priority should be given to Vikolene variety as the natural source of leucoanthocyans, to Crimson Gold and especially Vikolene varieties as natural sources of cathehins, to Vikolene variety - for the highest amount of favonols, to Crimson Gold variety - for the highest amount of phenolcarbolic acids, to hybrid form №12 and especially Vikolene variety- for the highest amount of tannins. Crimson Gold and especially Vikolene varieties proved to be the most promising ones from the point of increasing of phenolic compounds in biochemical composition of fruits
