[Theoretical and practical bases of liquidation and preventive mesures of cattle leucosis in the Republic of Belarus]

The purpose of the research is to develop and introduce the complex of actions against leucosis on the basis of studying of regional features of BLV infection allowing to reach improvement of cattle breeding of the Republic of Belarus and to support steady well-being by this illness. Epizootological, laboratory examinations of external and internal descriptions of BLV-infection with subsequent epizootological analysis, treatment of statistical data, conducting the epizootological experiment and compilation of mathematical model of disease evolution have provided the carrying out the work on the theme. The epizootological data of all the enterprises of the republic was used in this work: 23 meat-packing plant, 185 veterinary sanitary examination laboratories and 7420 hematological, 102400 serological and 286 histological research of the cattle on the leucosis were carried-out. For the first time the epizootically character of BLV-infection dissemination in the Republic of Belarus was determined taking into account natural and geographical, ecological, administrative and territorial, production, social and economic, sexual maturity, and epidemiological characteristics and its associated its current with micobacteriosis. Mathematical model-forecast of epizootically process of BLV-infection was developed for the first time as well. In spontaneous conditions the epizootically process of BLV-infection is uninterrupted and has initially steady increased (with the periods of raises and slumps) character with the subsequent relative constant in the evolution. Optimal terms of carrying out the diagnostic research were determined. BLV-infection was liquidated by antileucosis measures into 94% enterprises of Belarus. The efficiency of antileucosis measures has made 66,3 million rubles or 7,4 million rubles every year (9,25 million dollars by its currency course 1 dollar equal 0,8 ruble in 1990)
