[Taxonomic composition of the cultivated flora of the ornamental herbaceous plants in Belarus]

The data on the taxonomic composition and structure of the cultivated flora of the ornamental herbaceous plants in Belarus for the enrichment and improvement of the assortment of tree and shrub plantings were presented. The number families and species was analyzed and showed that the cultivated flora of studied plants included 650 species and 3.5 thousand varieties. The most numerous families of the cultivated flora were Asteraceae Dum (35%), Liliaceae Juss (4%), Ranunculaceae Juss. (4%), Caryophyllaceae Juss. (4%) and Brassicaceae Burnett (4%). It was found out that perennials (65%) including plants of Eastern Asia and North America flora prevailed among the introducents. In all, there were revealed 110 species characterized by the broadest cultigenous areal in the region and which were cultivated on the private plots and school yards. The forecasting recommendations on the perspective of the different floristic world zones to become the donors for the herbaceous plants introduction to Belarus were given
