[Factors increasing milk producing ability of cows]

Investigation of factors providing the increasing of milk producing ability of white - and - black cows on the basis of the analysis of zootechnical data about their origin, development, dairy productivity, milk - producing capacity and breeding value in the conditions of the instructional farm of the Republic of Belarus was realized. Curvilinear relation between the increasing of milk - producing capacity and age of the first calving of first - calf heifers was determined. The maximum milk yields were obtained from first - calf heifers calving of which took place at of the age of 21 and 31 months (5240 and 5015 kg of milk accordingly). Milk yields of first - calf heifers decreased starting with 32 month old of the first calving. The influence of calving season of dairy productivity of dairy cattle stock was stated. One of the main conditions for the effective management of dairy farming was the maintenance of the physiologically grounded rate of animal reproduction and steadiness of seasonal calving. In the conditions of autumn and winter calvings the milk producing ability increased on 5-10%. Elimination of the substantial seasonal variations in cattle provision with the complete feed and organization of the optimal housing conditions made it possible to increase the rate of milk -p roducing capacity
