[Improvement of the therapeutic measures at the complex form of hypocobaltosis and hypocuprosis using the national biometals]

Research and development of new methods for the correction of the mineral metabolism of young stock (3 - month old) of feeder calves sick with hypocobaltosis and hypocuprosis by means of application of complexonates preparations Kuprovet and Kobalvet produced on the basis of trace elements of cuprum and cobalt in the conditions of the Republic of Belarus were realized. The analysed preparations were administrated to the experimental groups of calves daily at the rate of 19,2 mg of unmixed cobalt and 20,4 mg of unmixed cuprum per 100 kg of calf live weight. Research results showed that application of the complexonates promoted the shortening of clinical signs of disease on 5 - 8 days and replacement of cobalt and cuprum in experimental animals on 21,3% and 3,2% accordingly. After application of the preparations by the sixtieth day of experiment the content of cuprum in blood in the experimental groups of calves increased on 18,1% (in control groups - on 14,2% ) and the content of cobalt increased on 34% (in control groups - on 6,9% ). By the end of the experiment of average live weight of calves of the experimental group increased on 61,4% (in control groups - on 44,6% )
