The research aimed to study the relationship between number of branch and plant spacing to produce high production of tomatoes. The experiment was conducted on regosol soil in the experimental field of Faculty of Agriculture, Muhammadiyah University of Yogyakarta. The high land is 110 m above the sea level. The experiment used Completely Block Design with 4 x 3 factors and three replications. First factor was pruning of primary branch, consisted of : one branch left (P1), two branches left (P2), three branches left (P3) and without pruning of branch (P4). Second factor was plant spacing, consisted of 50 cm x 40 cm (J1), 50 cm x 50 cm (J2) and 50 cm x 60 cm (J3). The results showed, that there was interaction effect between pruning of branch and plant spacing to several growth parameters, such as plant height, and fresh and dry weight of plant. Whereas, to the yield parameters, both in quantity and quality, there was no effect of the treatment.
