Epidemiological studies on parasitic dermatitis in canines

Of 1392 dogs examined, 425(36.53;) suffered from parasitic dermatitis. Its incidence was significantly correlated with the age of dog. Overall incidence was 60.0; in pure breds, 16.67; in crossbreds and 23.33; in non descript animals. Clinical signs in affected dogs were pruritis, alopecia, erythema, ulceration and pale mucous membrances.
