Cattle affected by FMD developed milk anaemia, leucocytosis and lymphocytosis however there was no neutropenia. The FMD affected animals showed a significant decrease in the value of total serum protein, albumin glucose and calcium and a non significant decrease in urea content. The serum phosphorus level increased significantly. In recovered animal all the biochemical values were nearly normal except urea and cholesterol. Urea showed a significant decrease in all three age groups and cholesterol showed a significant decrease in cows only.
