In order to identify the relationships of some morpho-physiological traits, early vigor (VGR), plant height (PLH), days to heading (DHE), days to maturity (DMA), spike length (SL), peduncle length (PD) thousand kernel weight (TKW), number of spikes per 1 square metere (S/M2), grain number per spike (G/S) with grin yield (GY)of spring bread wheat on warm dryland conditions of Gachsaran, this study was conducted in a RCB design with 3 replications, during 2003-2004 wheat growing season, in Gachsaran dryland agricultural research station. During growing period data were recorded from different morpho- physiological traits of 20 bread wheat genotypes. Genotypic and phenotypic coefficients of variation, heritability, and genetic advances were calculated. Furthermore genotypic and phenotypic correlations and path analysis for grain yield were calculated. The results showed significant differences for traits (DHE) , (PD), TKW), (s/m2) and GY. GY was s ignificantly and positively correlated traits DMA, DHE, G/S, S/M,2 and negatively correlated with TKW, VGR and PD. Path analysis for grain yield indicated that positive selection for the S/M2 is effective for selection of high grain yield genotypes of bread wheat.
