Study on the efficacy of some new fungicides by seed treatment in controling rice foot rot disease. M. DAMADZADEH Rice foot rot disease which caused by Fusarium proliferatum var. proliferatum is one of the most important rice disease in Esfahan area. seed treatment by systemic fungicides is the major method of its control. Benomyl is currently used for this purpose. The replacemet of new fungicides is one of the aimes of this project. Therefore Triflumizol as Trifmin 15%hc at 10 and 500 ppm a.i and Flodioxonil as Celest 25% fs at 10 and 25 ppm a.i respectively were compared with Benomyl at 100 ppm a.i. The results showed that the recommended does to control the disease is 10 ppm a.i. and although the higer doses gave better control of the disease but due to retard of the growth at the prelininary stage of rice the yield is lower than the untreated trials.
