Investigation on qualitive and quantitive properties of progenies back crossing.

36 cotton genotypes from back crossing design investigated in Randomized complete block design (RCBD) with three replication at Karkande cotton research station for three years (2000-2002). Each genotype planted in four rows of six meters each with 80 cm between the rows and 20cm between the plants. Different traits as yield (seed cotton) and their components, disease tolerance, morphological and qualitative traits were investigated. results showed that year effect was significant only for boll number at the 5 % level and another traits was significant at the 1% level. L22*Tashkand had also the highest seed cotton, percent lint, length lint and was higher than another genotypes, termez14* siokra1-4 and L22*termez14 were better than another genotypes in qualitative traits . All crosses have high micronair lint index which are recommended for selection in lines for research extensional investigation in fiuture years.
