Stydy on agronomic characteristics and grain yield of winter and facultative bread wheat genotypes in yield trail in the dryland areas.

In order to achieve high-yielding bread wheat varieties with drought and cold tolerance and compatible to dry land condition, this study was carried out in Quidar(Zanjan) station included eight trails, as mentioned below.. 1. Two preliminary bread wheat yield trails with 155 and 120 lines and varieties. 2. Three uniform BWYT(A4,A5,A6) and one A test with materials from Zanjan station. 3. B1 and B2 trials with 22 and 25 lines and varieties respectively. Preliminary yield trails were evaluated observationally. RCB design was conducted for A and B test trails. Statistical procedure to comparison of grain yield was analysis of variance and using L.S.D. During growing season some agronomic and phenology characteristics were recorded. For more investigation in next growing season 103 lines from preliminary yield trails and 27 advanced lines from A and B test trails were selected.
