Identification, distribution and desity determining of pistachio orchards weeds in Yazd provinc.

One of the serious problems in Pistachio gardens is Weed that compete to production and some of which are hosts of some Pistachio pests such as Pistachio Bugs . Determining vegetation of garden floor is very important to weed management of pistacio gardens . In this study Flora of weeds in Pistacio gardens were determined and dominant species were introduced . Identification of species were determined using key and sampling were carried out in 3 gardens at least at 5 points randomizely using 1m2 Quadrate . In each quadrate number of species was counted and dominant species was determined for each region . The results showed that 64 species belonging to 18 families were identified of which 37 % were Perennial and the rests were Annual . The most species collected from Pistacio gardens of Yazd province belonged to Gramineae with 14 species . Phalaris minor , Cressa cretica , Cynodon dactylon , Alhagi camelorum , Acroptilon repens and Convolvulus arvensis were dominant species . Phalaris minor with 34.6 , Acroptilon repens with 11.6 and Cynodon dactylon with 10.7 plant /m2 had high density.
