Investigation and Determination of Relation between Crop Water Stress Index (CWSI) with Yield and Evapotranspiration of Winter Wheat.

A field study was conducted to determine crop water stress index (CWSI) and that&rsquos relation with yield of winter wheat. The experiment was carried out in Karaj Soil and Water Research Station during one year (1997-1998). The line-source sprinkler irrigation system was used for irrigation treatment. Irrigation water depth and irrigation interval was applied by using neutron moisture meter. Soil water depletion amounting to 50% in second treatment was defined irrigation interval. Irrigation water depth was supplied soil water content to field capacity in second treatment. The results observed that average of maximum difference between crop canopy and air temperature (upper limit line) was 4.7 oC . The 85% of potential yield was obtained at CWSI = 0.31 in growth season.
