The effect of mycorrhizal infection of durum wheat cv Creso by Glomus sp. on Fusarium culmorum and Gaeumannomyces graminis var. tritici infections, separately or in dual inoculation, was studied. The arbuscular mycorrhizal fungus was isolated from a field soil and cultivated on Trifolium pratense stock plants. Biomass of mycorrhized wheat plants was significantly higher than the one of non-mycorrhized plants. Colonisation of roots by Glomus sp. significantly decreased the disease severity of wheat plants grown in soil inoculated with the pathogenic fungi, separately or in dual inoculation
