This paper clarifies the development of enterprise type consistent management of pig-farming, with an emphasis on the revenue side, by analyzing four case studies. These are classified by the character of investors. When enterprise type consistent management of pig-farming began to emerge in the latter half of the 1990's, the characteristics of these farm units were either 'F1 hybrid production units using pure breeding production to fatten pigs' or simply 'F1 hybrid production to fatten pigs.' These units were also characterized by large-scale farm size, a high ratio of capital equipment, complex division of operations, and an increase in per capita monthly average number of female pigs for breeding. Of course, big differences in these indexes have appeared between different enterprise type consistent pig -farming units. Cases of enterprise type consistent management of pig-farming have been constructed in the latter half of the 1990's and have achieved high numerical value in the above indexes. They have realized the highest level in the index of the technical factor per female pigs for breeding in comparison to other cases. In addition, it is suggested that the enterprise type consistent management of pig-farming has not only overcome the biological character of production, but also the index of technical factor per female pigs for breeding of the enterprise type consistent management of pig-farming has reached a higher level than family farm. This is especially true in terms of the turnover rate of weaning for breeding, the number of shipment per female pigs for breeding. Further, recognizing this high technical level of the enterprise type consistent management of pig-farming, enterprise type consistent management of pig-farming has realized diminishing costs in comparison to other cases. Thus, in general, the enterprise type consistent management of pig-farming has realized a high level of revenue.
