[Vegetable growers' experience in a fight against bacterial diseases in Latvia]

In the Baltic States before some years fruit growers on greenhouse farms went on tomato growing in mineral wool, because traditional growing method cause tomato bacterial wilt. Widespread vegetable bacterioses that infected potatoes, radishes, beets, tomatoes, cabbages, onions, cucumbers and other pumpkins plants, as well as flowers were Erwinia family species and different Pseudomonas species. In Latvia, for control some bacterial diseases copper oxychloride (Cempion) is registered. For control bacterial diseases Pseudomonas and Erwinia can use microbiological agents produced in Bioefekts Ltd that content Pseudomonas and Streptomyces species. For control of tomato bacterial wilt also can use in Russian Federation registered preparation Fitolavin that content plant antibiotic phytobacteriomycin.
