The need for the information on invasive alien species (IAS) in the Asia-Pacific region increases more and more. So a database system named the Asian-Pacific Alien Species Database (APASD) was developed for IAS and input data on them, which can be distributed through the Internet. In this paper, the features of this database: the type of database, target region and ecosystem, and the contents on items were described. The data on the golden apple snail (GAS) that are input into the APASD from three countries were presented. It was interpreted on how to search the data on GAS in the APASD, for example expansion, economic and ecological impacts, characteristics of reproduction and growth, counter measures, literature, synonyms, photos, habitat, etc. The other international databases related to GAS are also referred to, comparing them with the APASD. The importance of the network for developing the database on IAS to prohibit IAS from expa nsion and from causing damage was also emphasized.
