The study investigates the performance evaluation of extension services rendering by Livestock and Dairy Development Department in District Peshawar. The data for the study was collected from 60 respondents purposely selected from 4 out of 92 Union Councils of the Peshawar District through pre-tested questionnaire. Respondents included were from all age groups with different education status. Majority of the respondents (45%) with the age ranges between 36 to 50 years showed their active participation in livestock activities. Eighty four percent of the respondents were illiterate while only sixteen percent (16%) were literate from primary to graduation. Education has significant effect on the performance of farmers. A considerable size of household (28.33%) ranges from 6 to 10, while 72% live in joint family system. About 33.33% of the respondents had land holdings of 1-5 acres. Due to smaller land holdings, 86.67% respondents reported that th eir main source of income was livestock. Buffaloes were the main component of livestock of respondents. Horses and donkeys were kept for carriage purposes. It was encouraging that 58.33% respondents visited by extension workers and 53.33% respondents were satisfied from existing extension services and other institutional facilities.
