2004
Mandan, K.H.
The experiment was laid out in spit plot design with four replications having plot size 6m x 7m = 42 m2 with sowing dates as main split and fertility levels were sub-split under the treatments, sowing dates; 1st November, 10th November and 20th November, fertility levels 0-0-0 NPK kg/ha-1, 134-67-0 NPK kg ha-1 and 150-75-0 NPK kg/ha-1. The variety Abadgar-93 was tested. The results were observed significant for planting dates and highly significant for fertility levels and non-significant for their interaction. The maximum plant height was recorded from S2 (10th November) and minimum plant height was revealed from S3 (20th November) for planting dates where as for fertility levels maximum plant height 103.833 cm was observed from F2 (134-67- 0 NPK kg/ha-1) and minimum (93.33 cm) was recorded from F1 (0-0-0 NPK kg/ha-1). Among the interaction between planting dates and fertility levels, maximum plant height was recorded from S2xF2 and minimum f rom S3xF1 interactions. The maximum number of tillers plant-1 (4.75) was recorded from S2 (10th November) and minimum (3.833) from S3 (20th November) for planting dates. In fertility levels maximum (6.666) was produced from F2 (134-67-0 NPK kg/ha-1) and minimum (2.255) from F1 (0-0- 0 NPK kg/ha-1), whereas for their interaction maximum number of tillers per plant (8.00) was recorded from S2xF2 and minimum was recorded from S1xF1. The maximum length of earhead (4.191 cm) was recorded from S2 (10th November) and minimum (3.683 cm) from S3 (20th November) for planting dates. For fertility levels, maximum (5.391 cm) and minimum (2.033 cm) was recorded from F2 and F1 respectively. Whereas, for their interactions maximum (5.975 cm) was produced from S2xF2 and minimum (1.950 cm) from S1xF1 was observed respectively. Maximum (51.33) number of grains earhead-1 was observed from S2 (10th November) and minimum (45.666) from S3 (20th November) for planting dates, whereas for fertility l e vels, maximum number of grains (67.5) earhead-1 from F2 (134-67-0 NPK kg/ha- 1) and minimum (18.666) from F1 (0-0-0 NPK kg/ha-1). Among the interactions between them the maximum (76.5) number of grains earhead-1 recorded in S2xF2 and minimum (17.0) observed from F1xS1, respectively. The maximum seed index (34.4g) was observed from S2 (10th November) and minimum (31.66g) seed index for planting dates. Regarding fertility levels, maximum seed index (39.95 g) was recorded from F3 and minimum from F1, whereas from their interactions, maximum seed index (40.075 g) from S2xF2 and minimum (21.02 g) from S1xF1, respectively. Maximum yield (4601.79 kg/ha-1) produced from S2 (10th November) and there was no any difference between S1 (1st November), 4293.29kg ha-1 and S3 (20th November) 4288.15 kg ha-1 for planting dates, respectively. Regarding fertility levels the maximum calculated yield (6324.25kg ha-1) recorded from F2 (134-67-0 NPK kg ha-1) and minimum calculated yield (1146.591k g ha-1) was produced from F1 (0-0-0 NPK kg ha-1) recorded. Among the interactions, the maximum yield (6756.15kg ha-1) was recorded from S2 x F2 and minimum (1110.60kg ha-1) from S3 x F1 respectively. From the findings of result, it is observed that 10th November planting date and 134-67-0 NPK kg ha-1 is better method for getting maximum yield of wheat variety Abadgar-93 under agro-climatic conditions of Tandojam.
