The results of the research on segetal flora in protective zones can provide a support for the weed management helping to keep a present biodiversity of the flora, that is actually protected by law. The assessment of the status of such a flora was performed in protective zone of Narwianski National Park in the 2003-04. It was done in root crops fields on different soils. Because of natural conditions and farming reasons, a quality-quantity method was used. The research was conducted on the 100 fields, before harvest time. Species number and its botanical composition (as total), individual density and air-dry weight (as average per 1 square m) were assessed. The results revealed 71 weed species that occurred on the whole area
