In the paper productivity of willow (salix viminalis) grown in annual or 4-years cutting cycle and virginia mallow (Sida hermaphrodita R.) grown in annual cutting cycle is presented. Yield of fresh willow biomass amounted to 38.25 t/ha x year in annual growing cycle whereas in four years cutting cycle yielded higher by 10 t/ha x year was obtained. Yield of Virginia mallow biomass amounted to 17.10 t/ha x year. Water content in willow biomass from annual cutting cycle was 55.84 percent whereas lower water content was found in wood obtained in four years cutting cycle - 48.30 percent. In Virginia mallow biomass harvested at favourable weather conditions was lower water content then in willow - 25.01 percent. Yield of willow dry matter amounted 16.89 t/ha x year and of Virginia mallow - 12.82 t/ha x year
