Reaction of 7 domestic cultivars of soybean to sodium chloride salinity in the concentration 25 mmol/cubic dm was studied in a two year-long pot experiment. The results showed that salat stress caused a decrease of the yield of seeds by 49.7 percent, the content of fat in seeds by 13.3 percent, but an increase of the content of protein by 10 percent in comparison with 100 percent control. Salinity in the lowest degree lowered the yield of seeds in cultivar Progres (19.5 percent), in the medium degree in cultivars Mazowia, Gaj, Nawiko, Aldama (45.5 percent) and in the highest degree in cultivars Polan and Jutro (73.6 percent). The content of protein grew in the higher degree in cultivars which showed a big drop of yield of seeds. Such dependence was not confirmed for the content of fat in seeds
