The experimental factors were: I-varieties (Reduta, San) II-time - period since radiation till sowing (directly before sowing, 1, 3 and 6 days before sowing) as well as number irradiation (0, 1, 3, 5 times). Pre-sowing seed stimulation had the greatest influence on maize yielding. The highest yield of both fresh and air-dried matter was achieved on objects with single irradiation. The yields of air-dried matter were higher by 11.9 percent up to 21.4 percent (16.8 percent on average) on that object. The best effects of pre-sowing light stimulation were achieved applying the operation a day before sowing
