The aim of study was to explain the reasons for great differentiation of alpha-acids content in hop cones (Marynka cv.) both between years (including weather conditions during cone maturation), and hop plantation localization. Three cone harvest dates were the first-order factor (early, middle and late). Plant parts, from which cones were harvested, were second-order factor: low - to 4.5 m, middle 4.5-5.5 m, upper - above 5.5 m height. Cones were manually collected at three dates, separately from particular plant levels and subjected to determination of total resins and others compounds, like alpha-acids. Achieved results indicate that cones of Marynka cv. had the best qualitative parameters at early harvest
