Yield and quality of pepino (Solanum muricatum Ait.) fruits dependent on the clone and growing year

Ten different pepino clones were cultivated in the spring-summer period on rockwool in the years 2002 and 2003. Yielding and fruit quality as content of some chemical elements were investigated depending on the clone and year. The yield and quality of pepino fruit significantly depended on the clone and year. Growing condition in 2003 year decreased number of marketable fruits, content of dry matter, vitamin C, pH of the sap fruits, soluble solid content (SSC), reduction and total sugars, potassium, with exception titratable acidity and calcium. However, weight of fruit and its content of phosphorus was not depended on the year. Pepino clones different in yield, weight of fruit and reaction to growing condition in the year
