Effect of time duration and frequency of fertigation with nitrogen and potassium on yielding of pickling cucumbers was investigated in 2002 and 2003. Time duration: four and eight weeks as well as frequency of fertigation: daily and weekly were the factors of the trial. Additionally, in the control treatment, plants were broadcast fertilized and sprinkly irrigated or only broadcast fertilized without irrigation. Cucumber fruit yield from irrigated plants. The fruit yield, dry matter and sugar content in cucumber fruit were lower than from non irrigated plants. The fruit yield, dry matter and sugar content in fruit were higher when fertigation took place 8 weeks in comparison to that obtained with 4-weeks fertigation. No difference in fruit yield and quality were found with daily and weekly fertigation
