Study of obtaining and quality of dietary fish oil and its utilization as fish-mineral concentrate in feeding of monogastric animals

The aim of the present work is the use of waste materials generated in fish processing plants, to obtain fish feed oils. As well as the aim is to test the possibility of oils use as component of fish-mineral supplement for monogastric animals. Conducted studies showed that the combination of fish oil with humin substances and aluminium silicates is an advantageous solution, both technologically and zootechnically. Introduction of the fish-mineral concentrate formulation containing 25 percent of fish oil into concentrates for fattening pigs and laying hens improved slightly some production indices. It has advantageous influence on the content of essential unsaturated fatty acids in the lipid fraction of meat and egg yolk without deterioration of their sensory characteristics
