In the field experiment carried out in 2004-05, the yield of buckwheat and certain quality features (crude protein, flavonoids, rutin, orientin, isoorientin, vitexin, isovitexin) of buckwheat nuts to N fertilization doses were investigated. The split-block method with two factors was applied: factor I - fertilizer doses of N (0, 30, 60 kg N/ha), factor II - two varieties of buckwheat, Luba and Panda. It was shown that the both buckwheat cultivars reacted similarly to N fertilization. The highest yields of buckwheat were obtained at 30 kg N/ha dose as compared to control and 60 kg N/ha dose. Increased doses of N caused significant increase of crude protein content in hulls and dehulled nuts
