The results of trial consisting of ten wheat varieties originated in the Institute of Field and Vegetable Crops in Novi Sad, Serbia, that have been grown on humogley soil are given in the article. Genotypic and phenotypic variability of stem height, spike lenght and the number of grains per spike have been studied. The greatest variation has been denoted for the stem height. According to calculated values of genotypic (GCV) and phenotypic (PCV) variability coefficients, as well as, heritability values ecological factors appeared to be significant source of variability for the number of grains per spike, while genetic component of phenotypic variability was more influencial reason of stem height and spike lenght variability.
