The amount of calcium and phosphorus was investigated in the blood serum of dairy cows as one of the indicators of how well the animals are supplied with these substances. The results obtained are: Average amount of calcium in the blood serum of the cows studied was 11.58 mg in 100 ml of serum, phosphorus 5.14 mg. Calcium values were on the upper limit of normal amounts quoted in literature, while those of phosphorus were bordering with deficience. The amount of calcium and phosphorus in the blood serum decreased in the period of high milk yield while it increased in the period of low milk yield. These differences in calcium ranged from 10.52 to 12.40, and in phosphorus from 4.08 to 6.10 mg in 100 ml of serum.
