Plant secondary metabolites can espress regulatory effects on other plants, microorganisms and animals. The studies of toxic, attractant, masking and repent effects and actions of the ethanol solution of essential oil of sage (Salvia officinalis L.) and its fractions (F1-F5) were performed on the following insects: gypsy moth (Lymantria dispar), rice weevil (Sitophilus oryzae), German cockroach (Blatella germanica) and yellow fever mosquito (Aedes aegypti).
