Reviewed in this paper are the results of investigation on the semi-mechanized harvesting of young potato for fresh consumption or deep freezing. The semi-mechanized harvesting comprized following stages: mechanized defoliation, uprooting, hand picking and loading onto the transport vehicle. Machines were selected so as to allow efficient semi-mechanized harvesting of young potato for deep freezing. Due to high of primarily labour and machine work, as well as in order to achieve higher quality of harvested potato, the use of modern combine harvester is recommended for a fully mechanized harvest of young potato.
