[Cultivation peculiarities of field crops on peat and bog soils of Nizhnyi Amur]

The materials of scientific researches of Komsomolskii agricultural experimental field of Far East Research Institute of Agriculture on peat-boggy soils, development of potato cultivation farming technique, annual forage crops (oats, maize, sunflower, soybean, peas) and also their mixtures are summarized. The peculiarities of primary melioration and recultivation of peat-boggy soils, which are excluded from rotation due to the soil organic components burning are considered. The technology of row crop cultivation, the basis of which is a bed, is presented. The farming technique of potato and other field crops with account of water-air, heat and regimes of peat-boggy soils are presented. Great attention is paid to the analysis of mineral fertilizers and liming influence on the yield, potato and forage crop quality and also to the chemical influence on peat-boggy soil fertility. The influence of various ameliorants of local production: pulp and paper industry, wastes in the form of activated sludge, slags of metallurgical plants on peat-boggy soils fertility is discussed. High potency of Martin slags is stated. The book is intended for agricultural specialists, as well as for teachers and students of agricultural institutions.
