Piroplasmicidic preparations of diminazem-70 and neosidin KM (neosidin, as well as PP-40 and LP-40 from beebread, dead bees and drone larvae) for efficacy on mixed running of theileriosis and leptospirosis in cattle at the farm K-Z Moskovsky, the Stavropol Krai. Two experiments were conducted to compare the treatment methods and medicaments: in the first experiment neosidin and diminazem-70 were administered at the dose of 0.05 ml/kg twice, with an interval of 24 hours on the background of hydrochloride oxytetracycline (5 g/head for 5 days); in the second experiment – neosidin at the dose of 3.5 mg/kg twice, with an interval of 24 hours in combination with LP-40 and PP-40 intravenously at the dose of 0.5 ml/kg once a day for 5 days. The therapeutic efficacy of treatment methods was estimated by the results of reducing the intensity of parasitemia (at the beginning of the treatment – 7%, in 24, 48 and 72 hours after the treatment started – 1.5; 0.5; 0.1%, respectively) and body temperature: 40.0-40.7 degrees before and 39.5-39.0-38.7 degrees, respectively, after the treatment started. Biochemical studies of blood of sick animals were conducted 7 and 14 days after the last administration of the preparations. The results of the studies showed that the application of PP-40 and LP-40 for pathogenetic therapy at the associated theileriosis and leptospirosis of cattle improves the clinical state of animals and biochemical parameters of blood serum. As is found, neosidin and diminazem-70 at the dose of 0.5 ml/kg in combination with hydrochloride oxytetracycline and symptomatic treatment are high effective, but the best therapeutic effect was gained when applied neosidin twice at the dose of 3.5 mg/kg concurrently with PP-40 or LP-40 intravenously at the dose of 0.5 ml/kg for 5 days. This route reduces the time of animal treatment and restores the productive qualities.
