The analysis of the chemical composition of fruits Elaeagnus angustifolis nonconventional culture for European Russia

It was lead phytochemical studying of fruits of Russian olive (Elaeagnus angustifolia L.) introduced in territory of the Central Nonchernozem zone of the Russian Federation. By means of qualitative reactions and tool methods of the analysis presence polysaccharides, flavonoids, coumarines, phenolcarbonicum acids, amino acids, saponines, carotinoids, vitamins, and also tannins is proved. The quantitative estimation of the allocated connections is given. It is proved that fruits Elaeagnus angustifolia L. are an important source of the compounds representing the big interest for pharmacy and the food-processing industry. The total sugar content is 60%, pectin content is 3/58%. The flavonoid plus phenol acid content is 1.35%, saponins content is 1.96%. Vitamin C content is 5.6 mg%, beta-carotin content is 17.5 mg%. These fruits can be used as expectorant, urinative, anthelmintic and vitamin agents.
