The agriculture of the region is represented with the conventional nature management sectors (deer breeding, hunting, gathering wild-growing herbs). The population of domestic reindeer reduced abruptly in the 90’s of the last century and in 2003 appeared a tendency to growing the stock. The reduced hunting wild deer negatively influenced the regional economy. At present, hunting polar foxes and water rats practically stopped. Hunting sables is hardly controlled because of the general of disorganization in this sector. In fishing, the research should be oriented to searching new methods of storage and processing of fish products and monitoring the state of fish resources. The distortion of the environment caused the ecological disaster. Plant destruction resulted in disordered water and thermal balance, soil swamping and erosion. The construction of oil and gas pipes – changing the migration ways of animals and birds. In the field of ecology it is necessary: to analyze the state of biocenoses, to study the processes of natural restoration of ecosystems, to develop scientific principles of ecological zoning the territory using GIS-technologies. The solution of ecological problems and development of agriculture requires 1) a new system of region al agrarian economy to restore and to develop the local agricultural production; 2) integrated technologies of domestic deer farming; hunting, fishing and trapping, gathering wild-growing herbs and rational use of local products; 3) plans of production allocation scheme; 4) scientific principles of ecologically balanced use of agricultural lands and deer pastures; 5) ecologically safe resource saving methods of producing feeds on field and inundated lands; 6) effective methods to prevent infectious, invasive and non-contagious diseases; 7) organizational legal measures for preserving the biodiversity and inventory of rare species.
