During the two years research on the alfalfa pollination efficiency of six selected domestic Carniolan honey bee ecotypes was investigated. Experiment was realized on the second cut of domestic (Serbian) cultivar K-28 alfalfa stand. The crop was in the second and third year of exploitation. It is determined that lowland honey bee ecotypes (Rasina, Morava and Banat) were better alfalfa pollinators then the hill-mountainous honey bee ecotypes (Pester, Kopaonik and Timok). The highest amounts of total pollen, alfalfa pollen and the highest proportion of alfalfa in total pollen were established on Rasina and Banat ecotypes. These ecotypes had the biggest pollination potenatial because they had lot foragers per society.
